Southern Colorado Farms was founded in 1977 to focus on key specialty crops for regional eastern markets. Major crops grown are lettuce, romaine, organic kale, organic beets and organic carrots. It makes us proud to have Gerber Baby Foods as one of the biggest customers of our organic carrots. Southern Colorado Farms works with all the major national processors for their regional plants.
Amy Kunugi joined the company in 1997 as an agronomist and became General Manager for the farm in 2001.
Amy is a Cornell University graduate with a degree in plant science. She then volunteered for the Peace Corps in Guatemala for 2 years and Bolivia for 1 year.
